read the dedication

my neighbor, megzell, committed the tragedy of tragedies.  she read the entire series and we discussed the books thus far (book the 12th at that point).  i asked her about beatrice and she said something along the lines of “whatever” … i stopped and stared at her.  then something occurred to me: “um, have you read the dedications?”, i inquired.  she said no!  NO!  NO??!!  megzell, you missed the whole series.  thankfully, she was dedicated enough to run home, read the dedications, and come back with a whole new perspective.  but sadly, she missed much of the “WHAT?!?” moments of the books in between.

moral of the story: read the dedications, people.
